Futr advocates for equity within student-aid.
Every year, college admission results are announced. Hundreds of thousands of international students are admitted into United States universities, excited to learn in top-class colleges. Come to realize, they don't have the finances for it. Furthermore, United States policy works against international students and financial aid, limiting their ability to learn more for a reason out of their control. Futr fights for this reason, advocating for policy change to give international students aid for higher education.
Here's the data:
858,400
International students are admitted to US universities every year.
>$100,000,000
Given in financial aid by the Federal Student Aid office each year.
$0
Of which is given to international students.
It's clear:
Foreign students need help. To outright neglect almost 1 million students a year is absurd, and nothing is happening as it is. Futr is fighting for these students' futures, and fixing the issues the college system works with now. Join us to fight for the policy change that the United States needs.
